We are a small boutique vineyard and we only produce a limited amount of 1000 cases of estate grown wine each year. We have always kept our planted vines limited to just five acres and have never thought about expanding beyond the original five, which considering the size of the estate, we could easily do so. To us, it’s more about the quality side of the business versus the volume side. It’s not about how much wine can you produce…instead it’s the quality of those wines you are producing. I firmly believe that the terroir of the estate is being expressed through the grape’s character and flavor to your palate when you taste our wines, so we do not buy additional grapes from any outside sources just to bolster our offerings. We avoid doing anything that would unduly change the character of the grape or to influence the flavor with any external sources. We handpick our fruit during harvest and employ minimal processing when making our wines to stay true to the character and flavor of the grapes as they come off the vines during harvest.
We are a laid back, relaxing vineyard with our beautiful long range views and excellent wines to enjoy while you take in the quiet serenity of our estate. You will certainly be off the beaten path when you visit but that’s our appeal…a quiet, relaxing visit far removed from the urban areas. This is what we call the “Dobbins Creek Experience” and I invite you to come and visit and try it out for yourselves.
Since we opened our doors for business in the spring of 2007, our mission has never wavered and that was to create the finest wines for you to enjoy at an exceptional value for the quality you receive. This is still our ongoing promise to all our first-time customers as well as our friends who have been with us for years. We are looking forward to seeing our long-time friends and to meeting all our new ones. The journey continues…
